RULES AND PLAYING CONDITIONS

• The court permit is vaid from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM only. The extension of time will not be possible after 6:00 PM.

• The tournament would be played on Knock out basis.

• Matches will be played as per the schedule/fixture given.

• Players who do not turn up 10 minutes after the scheduled time of the match will be assumed to have given a walkover to their opponents. 

• The players are responsible to get informed about the match timings.

• The tournament organizer reserves the right to change the format if in its opinion, there is no sufficient time to complete the matches.

• The decision of umpires will be final in such an event of the above.

• Each Tug of War team consists of 10 members, all of whom cooperate to pull the rope.

• No cleats or gloves will be allowed at the event. No anchoring, looping around the end of the rope will be allowed.

• The objective is to beat the competition and win the match by winning at least two of the three pulls in the match.

• At the start of the pull, the centre line of the rope will be immediately above line marked on the ground.

• Both teams pull the rope, the winner being the team who manage to pull the mark on the rope closest to their opponents over the centre line.

• The rope must be pulled underarm and nobody’s elbow must go below the knee, otherwise a foul will be called.
