The court permit is valid from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM only. The extension of time will not be possible after 6:00 PM.
The tournament would be played on Knock out basis.
The Venue of the tournament will be BCIT - Block 1 - 9 F - Cafeteria.
All players should be employees of MUFG organization.
Players are not allowed to change their partners in the middle of tournament for doubles.
Matches will be played as per the schedule/fixture given.
Players who do not turn up 10 minutes after the scheduled time of the match will be assumed to have given a walkover to their opponents.
The players are responsible to get informed about the match timings.
The tournament organizer reserves the right to change the format if in its opinion, there is no sufficient time to complete the matches.
The decision of umpires will be final in such an event of the above.
Format:
First team to score 10 points wins the match on knockout basis. 13 will be the golden point. If the match doesn’t get over within 15 mins then the team with highest points will be considered the winner at the end of 15th min.
Each team will comprise of 2 players.
Each player maneuvers 2 rods
Each team can stand on opposite sides, twisting their rods to get their players to “kick” the ball into their opponent’s goal.
Balls are served through the serving hole.
Game play continues until someone scores, the ball is hit off the table, a team calls for a time out, or the ball is declared “dead”
New serves are delivered by the team last scored upon.
To score a goal, the only requirement is that the ball must enter the goal. It still counts as a point even if the ball bounces out of the goal after scoring.
If a player strikes the ball into his own goal by accident, a point is awarded to the opposing player.
A goal is not awarded if the ball somehow goes straight into a goal from the service
No spinning of your rods to advance the ball. If you spin then your opponent gets to reserve the ball on his 5-man rod.
No moving the foosball table, banging on the sides, or slamming rods back and forth against the table walls (called “jarring”).
No touching your opponent’s rods.
No hands in the playing field unless a ball has been declared “dead.”
No distracting your opponent—keep it sportsmanlike!
Shoot the ball within 10 seconds of possession on the midfield row and within 15 seconds on the others.
