RULES AND PLAYING CONDITIONS

• The Ground permit is vaid from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM only. The extension of time will not be possible after 5:00 PM. However the match preparation / warming up etc.. can be started by 07:00 AM

• The tournament would be played on league and knock out basis.

• The Venue of the tournament will be St Josephs University, Shanti Nagar Indoor basketball court.

• Breakfast, Lunch/refreshment will be provided at the venue

• All players should be employees of Target organization.

• Nivia FIBA Approved size 7 balls will be used during the tournament.

• Each team should nominate a maximum of 8 players who would represent their team. For matches played in that tournament the team of 5 must be selected from that list.

• Players are not allowed to change their team in the middle of tournament and is allowed to play for only one team.

• Matches will be played as per the schedule/fixture given to the teams.

• First aid kits and a physio will be available to treat any injuries sustained while playing.

• The team Captain must report to the Officials desk at least 30 minutes before the Scheduled start of the match. If a team fails to report before 15 mins of the reporting time the opponents will be given walk over. By the term ‘reporting’ it is intended that the captain should handover the list of players, be ready for the toss and should be ready with the team to take the field as and when the umpires want them to. If both teams report late at the venue then umpire/ Mangement might call off the match or deduct overs of the match.

• The Team Captain is responsible for informing all of the teammates about when the team will be playing and on what time.

• The tournament organizer reserves the right to frame/ change/ modify any of the rules at any stage of the tournament if found necessary.

• Strictly only Non Marking shoes are allowed inside the court premises.

• Qualified and professional panel referees will be posted for this tournament. During play the decision of the referees would be final and binding on all players.

• Game Time & Time Outs:

  • Games time = 20 minutes, divided into halves of 10 minutes each.

  • Time out = 1-time outs per Half. The clock will be stopped for time outs, which will be one minute in duration. Half time will be 3 minutes long.

  • Time will run continuously throughout, except for the last two minutes of the second half. During the final two minutes of the second half, the clock will be stopped for all fouls and ball out situations.

• Each game will start with a jump ball at center court. Each possession there after will be alternated. The official scorekeeper will keep track of the possession arrow.

• Teams will be allowed 3 team fouls per quarter

• Players will be allowed 4 personal fouls per match. Player disqualification will be done on the 5th personal foul.

• There will be 2 officials and 1 official scorekeeper for every game.

• Official scorekeeper must be notified before a substitution can be made, which will be allowed on all dead ball situations

• Teams will advance to Semifinals rounds based upon the following criteria:

  • Total Points

  • Point Differential

  • Total Points For

  • Total Points Against

• General FIBA rules will be applicable for the gameplay apart from the one specified here or by the officials before the start of the tournament.
