RULES AND PLAYING CONDITIONS

• The court permit is vaid from 9 am to 3 pm only. The extension of time will not be possible after 3 pm.

• The tournament would be played on League cum Knockout basis.

• The venue of the tournament will be Rush Arena, Cooke Town. 

• All players should be employees of Target organization.

• Players are not allowed to change their teams in the middle of tournament.

• Matches will be played as per the schedule/fixture given.

• First aid kits will be available to treat any injuries sustained while playing.

• Players/teams who do not turn up 10 minutes after the scheduled time of the match will be assumed to have given a walkover to their opponents.

• The players are responsible for to get informed about the match timings.

• The tournament organizer reserves the right to change the format if in its opinion, there is no sufficient time to complete the matches.

• Players should bring their own football running shoes.

• Format:

  • 2 Groups of 4 teams each and 2 groups of 5 teams

  • Top two teams will qualify for the quarter finals from each group

• Teams from league stage will advance to quarter finals rounds based upon the following criteria:

  • Total points

  • Goal differential

  • Total goals for

  • Total goals against

  • If there is a tie considering all the above parameters, then a shootout will decide the winner – Shoot out rules, will be explained at venue

• 3 points for a win, 0 for the loss and 1 point each for both teams if there are any draws in the league stage. Draws in play-offs will be decided on penalties.

• Team Composition

  • Players on Field: 5 players (including the goalkeeper).

  • Substitutes: A team can have a maximum of 3 substitutes. Unlimited substitutions are allowed during stoppages.

• Match Duration

  • Game Length: All group matches will be played for 8 mins each half and all knockout matches will be played for 10 mins each half.

  • Timekeeping: The match will be stopped for injuries or at the referee’s discretion.

  • No Extra Time: In case of a draw, a penalty shootout will decide the winner (3 penalties per team).

• The Field

  • Pitch Size: Approximately 40m x 20m (can vary depending on venue).

  • Goal Size: 3m x 2m goals (standard for 5-a-side).

  • Markings: A penalty area will be marked in front of each goal, approximately 6m from the goal line.

• Kick-Off and Restarts

  • The match begins with a kick-off from the center of the pitch.

  • After a goal, the opposing team will restart the game with a kick-off.

  • No offside rule applies in 5-a-side football.

• Fouls and Free Kicks

  • Fouls: Regular football fouls apply (handball, pushing, tripping, etc.).

  • All free kicks are indirect, except penalties.

  • Players must stand at least 2 meters from the ball during a free kick.

• Goalkeeper Rules

  • No Handling Outside Area: The goalkeeper can only handle the ball inside the penalty area.

  • Distribution: The goalkeeper must distribute the ball by hand (no kicking from the hands).

  • Back-pass Rule: The goalkeeper cannot pick up the ball if it is passed back by a teammate.

• Substitutions

  • Substitutions can be made at any time during the game with no stoppage necessary.

  • Substitutes must enter the field from the halfway line.

• Ball Out of Play

  • If the ball goes out of play, the match is restarted with a kick-in (no throw-ins) or a corner kick, depending on which team last touched the ball.

• Penalty Kicks

  • Penalties are awarded for fouls inside the penalty area.

  • The ball must be stationary and placed on the penalty mark, 6 meters from the goal.

  • The penalty taker must wait for the referee’s whistle before beginning their run-up.

  • There will be a line from which the player is allowed to take the run up for the penalties.

• General Rules

  • Fair Play: The tournament promotes friendly competition. Aggressive behavior or foul play will result in a warning or ejection.

  • Referee’s Authority: All decisions by the referee are final.

• Teams will be given ONLY 2-minutes warm-up time before the match.

• Food items, beverages are not allowed inside the court premises.

• Qualified and professional panel Umpires will be posted for this tournament. During play the decision of the umpires would be final and binding on all players.

• Everyone are instructed to make use of the dustbins provided in the ground to dispose the paper cups, plates, tissues, chocolate papers, tetra packs, rappers etc.

• Parking of vehicle is purely at owner’s Risk.

• Use of alcohol, smoking, crackers, gas cylinder, generator and any intoxicant substance in the sports complex is strictly prohibited.

• Everyone is instructed to make use of the Rest Rooms in the premises.

• Organizers are not responsible for the loss of any valuables.
